MADISON, WI (WSAU) - Now, you can see exactly how Wisconsin governmental agencies want to spend our tax money.
You can get a close look at what state agencies hope to spend in the next two-year state budget. The Walker administration posted the agencies’ budget requests online yesterday, just one day after the deadline for departments to submit their spending plans. The proposed departmental budgets can be found at theDepartment of Administration Web site at Wisconsin-Dot-Gov.
Governor Walker will review the proposals before preparing the state budget in February. The next Wisconsin budget is scheduled to take effect on July first of 2013.
Last month, the Governor told state agencies to expect another tight budget, and not to propose overall spending increases. Scott Walker said his next budget would deal with quote, “creating jobs, transforming education, developing our workforce, investing in infra-structure, and continuing to reform government.”
